Introduction

Back in the mid-eighties, when everyone was beginning to say the age of the guitar hero was over, it took a guy called Slash to prove them all wrong.

Ever since, Guns N’ Roses’ Appetite For Destruction album has been one of the great benchmarks of modern electric guitar tone, catapulting the Les Paul/Marshall combination back into pole position, where it remains to this day.

After that, getting the exact tones Slash used on that album has become an obsession for many of his fans. The result? A series of amps, pedals, and guitars based around this topic. The Marshall AFD is an amp developed with the help of Slash to perfectly recreate the massive high-gain tones of the band’s landmark “Appetite For Destruction” album.

Appetite for Distortion is all that iconic power of the Marshall AFD in the shape of a pedal!
